Having taken advantage of the existing master walls, Teresa Ruão, who loves color, recalled the tones of the whitewashed houses of her childhood made of lime and dyes taken from nature, to splash all rooms in a special way. All the doors and windows of the existing building were used to integrate an independent entrance to all rooms facing a common patio . Granite stone is present  overall and the ceilings of the upper floors were left with the original wood frameworks and iron in sight. Wooden floors and staircases made of planks were also kept and restructured, as much as possible, to replicate what was done in that time.

In the past and even today, in these family homes, people received guests with great affection and in this way Teresa gives continuity to this family’s story.
